Sorry if I've been on a short fuse with anyone these last few days. I've just been in this bad mood for a few days now and I know it must be annoying. I think it's just because it's almost Christmas and I really wish I was at home to spend the holiday with my family and friends. It doesn't even feel like Christmas here. Yes, it's cold (only a high of 32 today), and there are Christmas trees and lights in the streets, but here at the apartment you wouldn't even notice it's almost Christmas. Seriously, the only Christmas decoration that is in the entire apartment is the stocking that has my name on it that is hanging in my room. It's quite depressing. I love Christmas, you have no idea. I love making cookies, and decorating the tree, and just spending time with my family. I'd really like some of my mom's chocolate chip cookies right now and a giant glass of eggnog. I'd also like a huge cannoli....I know that's not very Christmas-y but whatever...Anyways, if I was rude to you, I'm sorry.
It's so cold outside. This morning there was actually frost on the cars and buildings. The grass is still green though, so that's a little weird. There was a chance of snow on Sunday but of course that didn't happen. There is also a chance of snow on Thursday, so we'll see. Here I am thinking it's going to be this giant snow storm and it will probably be like 5 flakes of snow, the Parisians will freak out and I'll be disappointed. In history today we watched this documentary on WWII called "Apocalypse." It was really good. It's a 6 part series and they only used actual footage from the war and then put color in it...if that makes sense. It was made for the French tv channels that all French people get, it reminds me of channels that are run by the government or something...but I guess these aren't or something. Anyways, it was really good. I was hoping we would watch it with subtitles because we had a bunch of questions to answer. We did, but they were in French. It helped but I really didn't catch everything that was said because I was too busy filling out answers or trying to figure out what the subtitles said. I'm thinking about renting it when I get home because the first part was really good.
This week is pretty crazy. I have a test in my cinema class on Wednesday, that same night I'm going to see The Nutcracker at this opera in Paris, and Friday I have a test in my phonetics class. Oh, and Sunday I'm leaving for LONDON!!!!
I'm not feeling very well...my stomach hurts. I think it was something Renee made me for lunch :( ....she's trying to poison me
