His mustache was eating her face!!

I watched some tv today for the first time in like....forever. I really don't understand how to use Renee's tv. Her controller has so many buttons and when I asked her how to use it she said she didn't know. She only watches like 3 channels and she knows the numbers off the top of her head. I also can't figure out how to get her dvd player to work. It would be nice to watch a movie in the living room instead of on my computer all the time...but yet again, she doesn't know how to work that either. She's really not that into technology. Today I was watching the Disney Channel. Wendy Wu was on. I'm really not sure what it was about...she was going to Homecoming or something like that and she was a ninja...that's really all I got out of it. Then I watched ER. That was hard to understand because they talk really fast and it's hard enough to understand in English. Then....as you can see I have TONS to do in the morning...Will and Grace was on. I really don't like that show so I gave up and took a shower.

In my cinema class today we watched Casque d'Or (golden helmet literal translation) but it's a metaphor for the main character's blond hair. It was pretty good. It's about this guy named Manda and this girl named Marie who's a prostitute. Her pimp, Roland is a crazy dude and gets really angry when she dances with Manda. Manda kills Roland in this fight to the death duel for Marie. Marie and Manda run off to the French country side. Manda had a crazy mustache. Whenever he kissed Marie is looked like his mustache was trying to swallow her face whole. It was pretty funny. Manda leaves and goes back to Paris when he finds out that his best friend, Raymond (or something like that), was set up by this guy named Felix Leca, the head of this gang, for murdering Roland. Manda confesses and then kills Felix after he finds out that Marie slept with him. Manda is then beheaded and Marie watches...and that all happened in a week. It was pretty good. We also had a quiz today on La Belle et La Bete....I got a 4 out of 10....not my best work. But then I didn't feel so bad because the girl next to me got a 2. Next time I'll know exactly what to study. The professor was really picky. If you didn't spell something right it was wrong. I missed one answer by one letter and had to mark it wrong.

Half way through our movie today this professor came into the classroom (ours wasn't in there at the time) and goes what are you guys doing in here? this is my classroom?!?! We told him who our professor was and he left. Then he came back in a little while later, talking loudly on his cell phone and asked again who our professor was. Then, when our professor came back, the other professor walked in and they had words. He told him to go outside and then followed him out there. Our professor, Michel, is a big guy. He's probably the strongest French guy I've ever seen. Seriously this guy's biceps are HUGE!! And he's so French it's nuts. He's really funny too. Anyways, so the step out and all of us are wondering what was going on. This girl came back in the classroom and was like they're yelling at each other out there. It was probably like WWIII or something. If Michel was in a fight I'd definitely put 10 euros on him. At the end of class he told us that he was sorry about the other professor and that we had to move to our original classroom for next week.

I walked to this different metro with this girl named Katie from my class today. She's really nice. There were so many people on the metro today it was nuts. When I transferred to my last train we had to stop twice because the trains were backed up. I get really claustrophobic if I'm in the train for a long time....especially if the train is packed. We finally moved and I got off at the next stop. I bought a baguette to go with my dinner and got to the apartment around 6:30. I had a lot of homework to do for tomorrow so I started that and made my dinner. I had this potatoes au gratin thing and some soup. The bread was the best part. I'm really not looking forward to my literature class tomorrow...it's such a snooze fest.

a bientot!
