I made it through week 2 of school.....go me. Fridays I have my phonetics class at 9am. I really like the class because I really do think that it will greatly improve my French, but I hate having to go to school that early. I'm so used to going at 2pm....and going from 2pm to 9am is pretty difficult. I tried not to stay up too late last night but obviously that didn't happen. I was chatting on Skype and ended up going to bed around 12:30. Of course, then I couldn't sleep so I just stared at the wall. Class was really good today. We have these head sets and they have microphones and the teacher says the example and then you repeat it and it recodes your voice. Then you can listen back to it (I sound like a 5 year old) and you can correct what ever you said was wrong. It's pretty cool. I think it would be something we could have at U of I but I don't know how that would work.
After class I booked it out of school because it was very hot in the room and I did not have a good morning. I was completely fine up until 5 or so minutes before leaving for the metro. I've had a headache for a few days so I took something for it. I coughed and I just don't know something weird happened and I threw up all of my breakfast....sorry to be gross but it was just horrible. So then I'm freaking out because I hate barfing and I'm sweating really bad and breathing really heavy, but I had to leave for class. So I left. I felt okay during class until it started to get hot in there...but maybe it was just me. When I got home I had some lunch, because obviously my breakfast was no longer there. After lunch I left for Cemetiere Montparnasse. A lot of famous French people are buried there so I thought I'd check it out. It wasn't that long of a walk from the apartment to the cemetery. I spent 2 1/2 hours wondering around the cemetery. I know it kinda seems like super emo or whatever but it wasn't at all, it was actually quite peaceful. I've got a lot of pictures from it and I'd put them on here but my camera is charging for tomorrow so I can't.
After the cemetery I walked back, picked up some loose leaf paper for the 2 papers I'm supposed to be writing right now. I then went to the store and they had Johnsonville Brats....I took a picture of them. They wanted like 4.90 for a package of 4. Obviously I didn't buy them. I ended up buying some juice, a bottle of red wine, some microwave popcorn, and some sausage to make for dinner. Speaking of dinner.....it was AMAZING. Seriously I should be a chef or something. I took the sausage, cooked that, made some pasta, got some spaghetti sauce and put some mushrooms and cheese in it and omg...it was good. Probably the best thing I've made in a long time. I watched the Office while I ate dinner. I love Jim and Pam, they're so cute!!! I must admit, I had tears in my eyes when they got married. yay!!!
Tomorrow we're going on a day trip to Fontainebleau and Vaux Chateaux. It should be fun. I'll take lots of pics. I really should try to get some homework done but Grey's Anatomy is calling my name.
